MySQL/Galera Demo-2 released without further ado

Our test session with Demo-2 release got somewhat prolonged. We faced few issues, mostly due to merging with MySQL head (5.1.31 - 5.1.32) and we needed to feed fixes through R&D cycle, which inevitably takes some time.

We still have one open issue, which surfaces with Drupal benchmark. It happens that auto increment table can occasionally give same key value for two subsequent inserts. We have not been able to trace the root cause for this so far (although we have a lot of interesting observations). It begins to look like, this is native MySQL issue, there is one mysql bug report with close to similar character:

We will keep on hunting this bug. However, we decided to release Demo-2 despite of this issue. There are many Galera downloads and Demo-2 stability and functionality will give the best evaluation experience we can offer so far.

There will likely be a new release within a week or two with autoinc issue solved and complete support for DDL statements added. Further releases will be named just by release number, and next to expect will have release tag: MySQL/Galera 0.6. We will keep on adding missing features to the product and step release number as we go. First feature complete release, will have number 1.0.
